Follis (Bronze, 29 mm, 6.93 g, 9 h), imitating a Byzantine follis of Heraclius with Heraclius Constantine from Nicomedia, struck during the Sasanian occupation of Syria 610-629, uncertain mint, circa 610-629. Heraclius to left and Heraclius Constantine to right, standing facing, each crowned and holding globus cruciger in his right hand; illegible legend to left and right. Rev. Large M; below, officina letter ‘B’; to left and right, A/N/N – X/III/small star; below, B; in exergue, mintmark ‘OCNKO’. Pottier, Class IV. Zeno 312889. Rare. Some areas of weakness and with minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
